Peter is a founding member and Managing Director of the Astratek Group of Companies and is a qualified Mechanical Engineer.
With more than 40 years of experience in plant design and manufacturing plant operation, Peter has the pleasure of leading the exceptional group of people that are the team at Astratek. Peter is a registered professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
What does Peter do when he is not in Engineering mode?
Better Peter enjoys mountain biking, hiking, a bit of DIY and spending time in the bush.
JAMES SADLER

James Sadler is responsible for overseeing Astratek’s group-wide financial and legal functions, ensuring robust compliance, risk management, and strategic alignment across all operations. He plays a key role in managing project-level financials and legal frameworks, supporting the successful execution of complex initiatives. James is also actively involved in mergers and acquisitions, contributing to due diligence, deal structuring, and post-transaction integration.
In addition to his operational responsibilities, James supports company governance and board-level requirements, helping to uphold high standards of corporate oversight, reporting, and accountability.
What does James do when he is not in Legal mode?
He enjoys keeping busy with DIY tasks or working on a good old Land Rover. To get rid of his additional energy he appreciates being outdoors whether it be cycling, hiking, kayaking or camping and exploring.
LOUISE NAUDÉ

Louise is a Director at Astratek Manufacturing Engineers and a qualified Chemical Engineer with over a decade of experience delivering capital projects in the mining- and food manufacturing industry.
She specialises in the design and project management of hygienic production facilities, with a strong focus on process layout, utility systems, and food-safe design. At Astratek, she leads multidisciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle, from concept development and detailed design to procurement support and construction oversight. Her approach balances deep technical expertise with practical, factory-level insight, ensuring every facility is efficient, compliant, and built to perform over the long term.
What does Louise do when she is not in Engineering mode?
In her spare time, she is an avid reader who loves to relax with the help of a good book.
ANDRIES BARNARD
Group Project Executive

Andries is the Group Project Executive at Astratek, bringing extensive experience in engineering, construction, and operations. With a strong background in project management, he plays a key role in leading teams, aligning cross-functional efforts, and driving project delivery from planning through to execution.
What does Andries do when he is not in project mode?
He enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking, fishing, or taking on a new DIY project. A true foodie at heart, Andries is always keen to discover new flavours and cook up something delicious.
